Joe Gilford changes the names and writes about his parents’ experience with the Blacklist in the 1950s. (Note: Darth Actor and Jack Gilford both took Stella Adler’s lecture class on early modern playwrights, and Mr. Gilford was recognized–to an extent–one little girl was very excited and said, “He’s in COMMERCIALS!” Darth Actor thought to himself, “He’s been in a lot more than commercials, sweetie.”)

This also secures payments. I think you need to have your training–good training–and then you need to fly away from the nest. Your instrument is only tested by working with a variety of directors and actors on a variety of texts. That’s it. Constance Towers, the actress here, later played opposite Yul Brynner in “The King & I” and is married to John Gavin, star of Hitchcock’s “Psycho” and former U.S. ambassador to Mexico. Director Sam Fuller became a major influence on later filmmakers long after The Naked Kiss.
